McPherson Square Library, which has been closed since June 21st due to a broken air conditioning system, may reopen by next Tuesday in time for a meeting with the City of Philadelphia’s Rebuild program.

We adhere to the Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) Membership Standards and disclose all significant financial contributions over $5,000 annually.

Reporting Process

We follow a rigorous reporting process to ensure our journalism is accurate, fair, and community-centered:

Every story is fact-checked for accuracy before publication.
We provide context, avoid stereotypes, and aim to minimize harm in our reporting.
We strive to reflect the full diversity of our neighborhoods — in the stories we cover, the sources we choose, and the makeup of our staff and contributors.

Accuracy & Corrections

We strive for accuracy in every story. If you believe we have published an error, please contact us at editor@kensingtonvoice.com. Corrections will be clearly noted at the top or bottom of the affected story, along with the date the change was made.

Sourcing & Attribution

We prioritize primary sources, public records, and direct interviews. Anonymous sources are used only when they provide critical information that cannot be obtained otherwise, and their identity is protected for safety or privacy reasons.

Conflicts of Interest

Staff and contributors must disclose any personal or financial interests related to the stories they cover. We avoid assignments where conflicts of interest may exist.
