Weekly Small Business Spotlight
The Small Business Storytelling Project is a collaborative initiative produced by Kensington Voice in partnership with the New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) and funded by LISC Philadelphia. The project aims to highlight and support local entrepreneurs and small businesses in Kensington through original reporting and photography.

Nov. 24
- Art with Zerbe hosted by ZERBE ARTZ and NKCDC at The Kensington Engagement N. Mascher St. at 6 p.m. Xiente will discuss the second phase of its Mi Casa initiative, a housing program designed for working families who do not receive government assistance but still cannot afford market-rate rents. - Thanksgiving community lunch & donation drive hosted by Taller Puertorriqueño at 2600 N. 5th St. from 12 to 3 p.m. There will be a free lunch, free winter clothes and more. Folks looking to donate canned food or clean and gently used winter clothes can drop items off at the same location.
Nov. 29
- Knitting workshop at the Richmond Library (2987 Almond St.) at 1 p.m. Attendees will learn how to knit a hat. Supplies are provided.

- 5th-7th grader Winter open-play hosted by Safe-Hub Philadelphia in its indoor soccer field, located at 1020 E. Venango St. from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This open play is for students in grades 5th through 7th and occurs every Tuesday from now until December 16. Visit this link to register and learn more.
