After two very difficult funding years, Kensington Voice has run out of the money needed to pay our staff. We have laid off our team and stopped publishing new stories.
We should have shared this update sooner. We stayed quiet while we worked through what would happen next, and that process has taken much longer than we expected.
We are now working with partners to take care of Kensington Voice’s work and resources, including projects that were already underway, and to find new homes for them where possible. Our archive will stay online, and we’ll share more as soon as we can.
What this community built with Kensington Voice doesn’t end here.
