Philly’s school safety program to shield kids from violence was working. So where did it go?
A key violence prevention program disappeared from schools across Philly this fall, including in Kensington—just when students needed it most.
Ceiba, a coalition of Latinx community organizations located on the southwest corner of Norris Square, created a step-by-step video in English and Spanish that demonstrates how to complete a mail-in ballot for Pennsylvania’s 2020 primary election.
The primary election, which includes the presidential primary and a number of state and local races, takes place on June 2. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, polling places have been reduced in Philadelphia to about 20%, which has led to state and local officials encouraging people to vote by mail instead.
Once completed, ballots can be mailed back using the pre-paid envelope, turned into this dropbox at City Hall or delivered to the Philadelphia County Board of Elections office (City Hall, room 142) by 8 p.m. on June 2 otherwise they will not be considered.
Please visit Votes PA online for more information about mail-in ballots.
